Bradford City Football Club offers a wide range of activities for children both out-of-school and in-school through our successful Community Foundation Scheme, run by former player Ian Ormondroyd and his staff.

The Scheme, sponsored locally by the Bradford & Bingley plc is now run in partnership with Bradford Council's Sport & Leisure Services which will allow us to operate at a variety of venues throughout the region.

Listed below are activities which are run and when there are dates arranged, details of venue etc are given along with costs. Courses held at Thornton Recreation Centre will take place on a synthetic surface and the courses at Marley may be on a synthetic surface or grass depending on the weather. All other courses are on grass.

BILLY BANTAM PENALTY SHOOT-OUT

Get your school involved in our new venture - The Billy Bantam Penalty Shoot-Out.

It involves schoolchildren being sponsored by family and friends to take 4 penalties against the Bradford City Mascot - Billy Bantam.

The proceeds from the shoot-out are spilt 50/50 between the school and the Community Foundation (a non-profit making organisation which places all money back into the Community for future projects).

An autographed football is given to the child who gets the most sponsors and a medal for all pupils who manage 4 out of 4 penalties. All equipment is provided by us.

40 schools in the Bradford area took part in 2005 raising over £40,000 for school funds with some schools raising in excess of £4,000.

If you are interested in your school taking part, please contact the Football in the Community Office for further details.
